Marion Learning Academy ("we," "us," "our") operates marionlearningacademy.com and the live online classes offered through it. This policy explains what information we collect, from whom, why, and how you can control it.

Quick summary: We collect basic contact information from parents/guardians to process enrollment, and limited information from children strictly for delivering the live class they're enrolled in. Class recordings involving your child are automatically deleted after a short, fixed window. We do not sell data, run behavioral advertising, or build marketing profiles of children.

1. Information We Collect

From the parent or guardian who enrolls

Name and email address
Payment information (processed directly by Stripe, we do not store your card details)
Any information you voluntarily provide in the enrollment/consent form, such as an allergy disclosure

From the enrolled child, only as needed to deliver the class

First name (used during the live session)
Video and/or voice, if your child appears on camera or unmutes to ask a question during a recorded live session

We do not require children to create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child without a parent or guardian's involvement in enrollment.

2. How We Use This Information

To process enrollment and payment
To deliver the live class (Zoom session) and share the resulting recording with enrolled families
To send class-related communications (Zoom links, reminders, materials)
To respond to questions or support requests

We do not use children's information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell or rent any personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

We rely on a small number of outside services to run classes and process payment. Each only receives the information necessary to perform its function:

4. Children's Privacy

Because our live classes are designed for children under 13, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). 5. Data Retention

Class recordings: automatically inaccessible 14 days after the final class session (see Section 4)
Enrollment/consent form submissions: retained as our compliance record of consent, and to contact you about the class
Payment records: retained as required by Stripe and applicable tax/accounting law

6. Cookies

Our website may use basic cookies for standard site functionality (such as remembering that you've viewed a page). We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of visitors, including children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make a material change to how we handle children's information, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify enrolled families directly by email.
